FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to your most pressing questions about our medical 3D printing products and services.
What types of medical models do you offer?
We specialize in creating 3D-printed vascular flow models, among other custom medical solutions.
Do you offer a price match guarantee?
Yes, we guarantee the lowest price on the market! If you see a lower price available for a model that matches our specifications, we will beat the price.
How long does it take to receive my custom model?
Our turnaround time is typically 5–7 business days, depending on the complexity of your request.
Who is eligible for a discount?
We offer discounts to educational institutions, residents, fellows, and additional discounts for bulk orders.
Can I use my own pump?
Yes, and we will be happy to create a custom model designed around your pump dimensions at no extra charge.
What is included in a standard model kit?
Each kit includes a platform, vascular model, pump, lubricant, and compact storage container.
Do your models work with fluoroscopy? Without fluoroscopy?
All our models work with and without fluoroscopy.
Can I inject contrast into the model?
Yes, you can safely inject contrast into your model.
How do I maintain my model and protect its longevity?
View our Maintenance & Longevity video (coming soon) for the full details and demonstration.
How small can the vessels be?
We’ve had success at printing vessels as small as 1.5 mm in diameter, but this is highly reliant on the specific geometry of your vasculature. We always test our models to ensure high quality vessel prints, and will work with you to address any such limitations.
What other limitations exist for the vasculature in a custom model?
In addition to a small diameter, highly tortuous vessels and vessels that are touching can be challenging to print due to the thickness of the vessels walls. If you do not have high quality imaging available, we may be unable to develop an accurate model. See DICOM instructions for imaging. 3D modeling is a highly complex process that, in rare cases, requires vessels to be edited slightly. If this is necessary, we will work closely with you to ensure the changes are satisfactory for your purposes.
How are you able to charge so little? What’s the catch?
There is no catch! We truly believe in the educational power of our models and it is our personal mission to make them more accessible to a greater number of people. We are able to keep prices low because our team is small and has all the necessary skills to create vascular flow models at the highest possible standards. We have also designed a process that reduces time, materials, and unnecessary expenses with zero impact on quality.
