Innovation through Access

Our journey began in 2018, when we observed a dire need for improved simulations for physician training and patient education. Getting their hands on useful 3D models that effectively simulate patient anatomy was not just extremely expensive, but also inconvenient. Existing models were bulky, fragile, difficult to set up, and had a relatively short lifespan. This led to physicians frequently having to practice on live patients – a type of on-the-job training that nobody prefers.

At Vascular Flow Models, we believe that access to 3D printed models should not be a barrier to medical innovation and effective patient care. We aim to flip the narrative: by increasing accessibility, we want to lead innovation in anatomical models. The more that physicians can get their hands on our models, the greater the flow of ideas and opportunities for improvement. In turn, we can generate more experimental models and products to test new methods for patient care. Our optimized processes and designs allow for increased iterability without compromising quality.
